I hate election cycles and where I live we are right slap in the middle of an extremely heated municipal election. We vote Tuesday, and just when I thought I had made up my mind (months ago, even) I get a mailer from “my” candidate that infuriated me and drove me straight to the liquor cabinet. I don’t even drink, mind you. Well, except for the “occasional” bottle or two or three of wine…..
Since we are talking about elections and drinking, I thought maybe why not share a cocktail recipe? Quick and dirty, just like politricks.

I just do not understand why people go into politics. It costs a LOT of money and way too much of your heart and soul for it to be worth it. However, someone has to be the one to step up and be of public service. That being said, I will leave you with one last thought: The problem with political jokes is that they get elected!
Until next time, stay smart or stay smart sassy!
