Sarcasm Reviews Thread Burners!

Sarcasm reviews thread burners and throws out a reminder about a contest that ends in just a few days in this installment of snark! Not every beader uses thread burners, but in my opinion, every beader should at the very least, try one out. After a couple of years of using plain old scissors to trim my threads, I decided to go the cheap route, and purchased the Berkley Fireline fishing line burner. It runs around $9-$10 at Walmart or any sporting goods store, comes with its first set of two AAA batteries and an extra tip stored in … Read more

Sarcasm Needs Your Votes!

Yup, just as the title says, Sarcasm (me, HA!) needs your votes! Today will be short and sweet folks, because I have been having seizures all weekend. Bello Modo is having their annual bead challenge in which I have two entries. Prize winners win gift certificates, and thanks to the very expensive new meds for my seizures, I can’t buy beads like I used to, so I NEED to win! Winners are determined by votes in the comment section of their blog showing the 15 entries. If you wouldn’t mind going over to their blog HERE and voting for my entries, numbers 12 and 13, … Read more

Sarcasm has a Winner

I am sooooo glad that this is Spring Break week where I am.  I can actually sleep late – wait, no, sleep at all, for that matter! See, I am the one who runs carpool for my grandbabies every day and with one gone to his other grandmother for the week and the Doodlebug being taken to daycare by my daughter and son-in-law, I have a few days free! Wheeeee!!! Eat, Bead, Sleep, REPEAT! The other reason I haven’t had much sleep lately is I have been staying up each night long after.most of you, posting entries to my blog … Read more

Sarcasm Dishes Out Photography Tips

Nothing irritates me more than to be out of my routine. My Sunday routine is get up and bead for a bit, have my convo with my higher power, and then write my blog so you guys can (hopefully) get a few laughs, learn a little something, and (puh-leeze!) throw me back a few comments after you do. This morning was ALL out of whack when we lost power in my half of the subdivision I live in for who knows what reason, probably a blown transformer or something. At least the weather was cooperative and it wasn’t pouring down … Read more

Sarcasm Shows Off the Prize Pack!

If you are a parent or grandparent, then you probably know that this week is what is considered Dr. Seuss week for the “Read Across America” initiative at most schools, because it would have been Dr. Seuss’s 112th birthday this Wednesday. At my grandson’s school, they are doing something different every day. A different book, a different way to dress (within their uniform restrictions) and having reading programs galore. Read to your kids and grandkids, not just this week, but every single night! Not only do they benefit from learning words, phonics, letters, enunciation, and so much more, but YOU … Read more

Sarcasm Accepts Challenge Entries!

A few weeks ago, I gave a basic rundown of (at the time) most of the seed beads and two or more hole beads out on the market. This week, Bello Modo did a very thorough one, along with a review of each in their own blog here. I highly recommend you check it out! And did you know that Potomac Beads will be carrying the new Czech DiamonDuo Bead 2-Hole Diamond Shape Pressed Czech Glass Beads in just a few days? Allie Buchman of Potomac Beads Hagerstown, MD store describes them as a “softly faceted Kite shaped bead.” Wheeeeeeeee!!!!! What … Read more
